Infertility Daignosis

 A thorough evaluation usually involves both partners.

Male Evaluation

Doctors may recommend:

• Medical history and physical examination
• Semen analysis
• Blood tests for hormone levels
• Ultrasound of the scrotum
• Genetic testing when indicated
• Additional specialized fertility tests if necessary

Female Evaluation

Assessment may include:

• Medical and menstrual history
• Pelvic examination
• Blood tests to evaluate hormone levels
• Ovulation testing
• Pelvic ultrasound
• Hysterosalpingography (HSG) to check whether the fallopian tubes are open
• Hysteroscopy or laparoscopy in selected cases
